A Weekend in The Middle of Nowhere

This weekend Sarah and I got to go visit our most favorite roommate and friend Xela (pronounced Shayla) in Duchesne. Our friend Cameron Wilkerson (Cam) had his mission farewell this Sunday so we made an adventure of it. Friday after classes Sarah and I packed into Hailee's car and headed off! On Friday night, Xela's singles ward in Roosevelt had a date night. So of course Xela set us up on blind dates with some of her friends there. Sarah was set up with Brucie, and I with Tadd. For the date night we went bowling in Fort Duchesne and then went to a bonfire in Bluebell. That night we spent the night at Xela's grandma's house. Saturday we went to get lunch at Al's Grocery store and then went back to Xela's. At her house we took her horse Prancer out, saddled him up, and took turns riding him. When it was my turn I about passed out, especially when I got off. That night we went to the Relief Society Broadcast with Xela's mom and then watched the movie Ephraim's Rescue at her grandma's. Sunday we went to Cam's farewell. After church we went to his house for a luncheon. After the luncheon we went with two of Xela's friends, Brucie and Colton, and through two old computers off of the mountain. We then went back to Cam's and hung out for quite a while. Overall it was a great weekend, and I sure do miss Duchesne even if it was in the middle of nowhere!!

Me riding Prancer. I couldn't really smile because I was freaking
out about falling off the horse because the saddle wasn't tight enough.
Xela, Sarah, and I with Prancer. Xela thought it would be smart to
stand on the horse.

This was our big group hug before we parted ways again.
